Mushroom Cultivation Workshops

In Spring of 2026 several Mushroom Cultivation Workshops are being offered through Iowa State University Extension and Outreach instructed by Natural Resources Field Specialist, Gina Buelow. Mushroom Cultivation Workshops are a great opportunity for community members to safely observe and eat mushrooms that they grow themselves. In these workshops, participants create an oyster mushroom grow bucket. All mushrooms grown are the native Pleurotus ostreatus, Grey Oyster Mushrooms. 

These Spring 2026 workshops were supported by the Big Grove for Good Foundation.
