Yellow River State Forest Fall Forestry Field Day (Allamakee County)

Thursday, October 7, 2021 - 9:00am to 4:00pm

The Yellow River State Forest fall forestry field day will occur on Thursday, 10/7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event will focus on the establishment, management, and value of early successional forests (i.e., young forests) - a critical habitat that is losing prevalence on the landscape. Mini-sessions will focus on timber market, wildlife disease (e.g., CWD), and programmatic updates (e.g., EQIP). This is one of the largest forestry educational events in the state, and represents an excellent opportunity to network with professionals from agency, ISU Extension, and private industry, as well as private forest landowners and forestry enthusiasts. Cost is $15, and includes lunch. Pre-registation is encouraged to guarantee a meal. Register by calling ISU Extension - Allamakee County (563) 568-6345.
