Iowa DNR District Foresters are professional foresters that work with private landowners as well as public lands in regions throughout the state. They can help landowners with any practice on forested lands, including timber sales, tree planting, improving wildlife habitat or timber quality, or with cost share assistance programs and tax incentive programs.
Natural Resource Conservation Services (NRCS)
Natural Resource Conservation Services (NRCS) Offices cover every county in Iowa and have a staff that work exclusively with private landowners to improve soil health, water quality, and wildlife habitat through federal land conservation programs.
