Iowa Forestry Field Days

The Iowa Forestry Field Days program is sponsored in cooperation with local Department of Natural Resources' District Foresters, County Extension Offices, and often with County Conservation Boards. Forestry Field Days are intended to serve private woodland owners, public land managers, forestry consultants and service providers, students, and interested citizens of Iowa. Field days generally consist of 3 to 6 hours of outdoor classroom instruction on topics related to the improvement of woodland resources or the expansion of tree resources.

Between 10 and 15 programs are typically available across the state annually. In addition to educational content, these events represent exceptional opportunities to network with forestry professionals, fellow woodland stewards, and the forestry community in general.

Please see our Upcoming Events page for event listings and details. In addition to these in-person offerings, check out our archived recordings of virtual field days. Check both pages regularly for updates.
