Trees Forever will be hosting an invasive species workshop in cooperation with ISU Extension Forestry and the Iowa DNR. AMES, Iowa — Iowa Learning Farms, along with Scott County Soil and Water Conservation District and Iowa Natural Resource Conservation Service, will host a saturated buffer, water quality and drone field day Thursday, Sept. 19 from 5 -7 p.m. at the Paustian Family Farm, rural Walcott. The event is free,open to families and includes a complimentary meal.

Friday, September 13, 2019 - 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Come to the historic home of Iowa’s 12th Governor William Larrabee to learn about forest management being implemented on the grounds of the preserve, and see how you can use these management strategies on your very own property. Wednesday, September 11, 2019 - 5:30pm to 7:30pm

AMES, Iowa — Iowa Learning Farms, in partnership with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, and Iowa Corn, will host a cover crop and wetland field day near Gilmore City on Wednesday, Sept. 11. The 5:30-7:30 p.m. event will be held at the ISU Drainage Research and Demonstration Project, owned by the Pocahontas Soil and Water Conservation District. The event is free, open to the whole family and includes a complimentary meal.

Tuesday, September 10, 2019 - 10:30am to 12:30pm

AMES, Iowa — Iowa Learning Farms, in partnership with Iowa Monarch Conservation Consortium and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, will host a pasture restoration and monarch habitat field day Sept. 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Nathan Anderson’s farm near Cherokee. The event is free, open to the whole family and includes a complimentary meal.
