DESCRIPTION:The Women's Woodland Stewardship Network (WWSN)&nbsp\;is excite
 d to offer an urban tree care workshop in Ames that will focus on pruning 
 and planting. WWSN is an ISU Extension and Outreach program that seeks to 
 empower women to become more involved in forestry activities in Iowa. The 
 upcoming workshop will take place in the evening on Tuesday\, September 23
 rd\, from 5:00-7:00 pm. We will meet participants at Carr Park (1704 Meado
 wlane Ave\, Ames\, IA 50010) and spend some time getting to know each othe
 r\, then head out to practice proper pruning skills. Participants will als
 o have the opportunity to see a tree planting demonstration. Our speakers\
 , Gabbi Edwards (Ames City Forester) and Emma Hanigan (Iowa DNR Urban Fore
 ster)\, will lead the activities and answer questions participants have ab
