SUMMARY:Tri-State Women's Woodland Stewardship Field Day

DESCRIPTION:Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is partnering with
  Extension and Outreach at the University of Illinois and the University o
 f Missouri to offer a tri-state women's woodland stewardship field day at 
 the White Oak Campground in Shimek State Forest on September 9. During thi
 s event\, nine female forestry professionals from all three states will pr
 ovide demonstrations and guided hikes on topics including forest managemen
 t\, non-timber forest products\, wildlife habitat\, tree identification\, 
 timber sales\, forest health\, forest stewardship plans\, and forestry equ
 ipment. Attendees will be able to choose the topics they want to learn abo
 ut during two concurrent sessions. During the event\, tables will also be 
 set up where attendees will be able to learn about forestry-related organi
